Vice President Financial Planning & Analysis - Remote working

€120000.00 - €150000.00 per annum Bonus and Share Package

This new position will be primarily responsible for establishing and overseeing processes and procedures for integrating all aspects of financial management, reporting and analysis related to my client's newly created entity and will be a key point of contact in managing relationships with the various Finance, Treasury, and other functional teams supporting their international operations. The VP will also collaborate closely with the Finance Treasury Team supporting the business.

Utilising reporting tools like US GAAP and other international frameworks the position will provide the individual with the opportunity to gain a broad set of experiences across a range of Finance disciplines and collaborate across Finance and non-Finance teams, including Actuarial, Global Portfolio Management, Audit and Risk Management, among others.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead efforts to stand up and streamline the new entities functions
  • Oversee establishment of sound accounting and financial reporting procedures and practices
  • Collaborate with Finance Treasury and Corporate Treasury teams to ensure adequate capital and liquidity resources are maintained in line with regulator and internal requirements and the company complies with its financial and regulatory obligations
  • Face off with external stakeholders and ensure external auditors, approved actuary and regulators can execute responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Finance and Treasury, Actuarial, ERM and Global Portfolio Management teams
  • Support analysis and execution of reinsurance opportunities that drive optimal enterprise and business outcomes
  • Assist with coordination of Committee / Board meetings

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or business-related field with 10 years of financial analysis, risk management or actuarial experience with exceptional analytical skills
  • MBA with finance or accounting concentration or other degree with an accounting qualification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of global life insurance markets, risk management, and actuarial concepts, GAAP and statutory accounting strongly preferred
  • Prior experience internationally with Solvency II frameworks as it applies to Life Insurance operations is a strong plus
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical/problem solving skills, including the ability to assess data and determine important and actionable tactics
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to break down complex actuarial or financial concepts and communicate them to all levels of management
  • Demonstrated leadership and partnering skills, including success in influencing outside of direct reporting line
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity, with a "start-up" mindset
  • Experience with internal and external audits, reinsurance transactions, and driving external advocacy / outcomes desired
