Financial Accountant

Permanent
Dublin West, Dublin
€50000 - €60000 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete monthly management reports tight to strict deadlines
  • Balance sheet reconciliations including multicurrency bank transactions
  • Monitor general ledger control accounts and variance analysis of key financial figures and metrics
  • Responsible for timely completion of quarterly forecasting and budget submissions
  • Support the day to day transactional accounting
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, chart of accounts, intercompany re-charge and transactions
  • Support internal and external audit process
  • Liaising with budget holders
  • Dealing with ad-hoc information requests from business and support areas
  • Contribute to team effort and assist colleagues as needed to balance workloads
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovative solutions
  • Accurate accounting of OPEX and CAPEX to relevant cost heads & general ledgers to present a true and fair view of the company's expenses
  • Review and finalize day to day running of APTL Finance function prepared by other staff members
  • Maintain and monitor the Fixed Asset Register
  • Ensure Compliance with Group reporting calendar
  • Any other duties assigned by the Finance Manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Post Graduate degree in business
  • Qualified accounts technician (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is required
  • Experience of 3 to 5 years in a financial environment
  • Knowledge of EU and other regions current financial compliance
  • Knowledge and expertise of SAP
  • Proven track record of leadership abilities and competencies
  • Ability to lead, coordinate and support several concurrent teams
  • Ability to prioritize decisions and address critical issues impacting the business
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and influence within cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities
