Client Services Executive/ Payments Specialist

Purpose:

  • To ensure the security and profitability of the company through efficient and effective management of portfolio of clients
  • To establish and maintain a professional and efficient relationship with their allocated portfolio of clients
  • To provide excellent standards of customer service
  • To ensure that security is maintained at all times within the systems operated by the company

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and act upon client's requests as required whilst maintaining companies security
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of clients and customers within portfolio
  • Prepare client payments in line with authority limits
  • Complete client's month and reconciliation's to deadline - investigate reconciliation differences and implement reserves as appropriate
  • Calculate and make months end reserves, including contra's, ageing and general reserves
  • Chase and monitor the receipt of monthly reporting requirements from client
  • Monitor Client Account for risk and fraud
  • Monitor Credit Limits and HI Involvements
  • Monitor and ensure compliance of Operating Conditions
  • Provide a high level of service whilst maintaining security
  • Proactively seek to understand their clients to allow them to spot both warning signs and opportunities
  • Any other duties or projects commensurate with the level of responsibility of this role, for which the role holder has the necessary experience and/or training

Key Skills:

  • Maintain high level professional conduct with internal and external customers via face to face, the phone, email and in written communication
  • Establishes and maintains a professional 'expert' relationship with clients through efficient credit control. Understands and is interested in client's business
  • Manages credit control of client portfolio within agreed service levels, whilst providing a high level of customer service protecting the companies security
  • Good listening skills, understands how and when to action information, to the appropriate person
  • Sees things from clients point of view; identifies client's needs and has a sympathetic approach whilst protecting the companies security
  • Attention to detail
  • Sets credit limits within guidelines, makes recommendations/ propose decisions, back up decisions to line manager.
  • Monitors collection performance. Recommends appropriate solutions
  • Uses appropriate chasing techniques. Seeks to recommend alternative collection techniques. Takes responsibility for actions, Manages time and prioritizes work and plans ahead
  • Knowledge of clients business. Awareness of money laundering data protection legislation. Monitors risk and possible fraud

Requirements:

  • Experience - Invoice discounting, reconciliation, office environment, customer service experience
  • Skills - Excellent communication, numeracy, customer service focused, attention to detail, efficiency, planning and control, setting of personal goals, time management, IT
