Overview
Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician ready to take your career to the next level? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading high-volume food production company based in the County Galway / Midlands region.
This is a full-time, permanent role offering competitive pay rates of €23-€26 per hour, plus a 17% shift allowance for early and late shifts.
Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative and condition-based maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform electro-mechanical repairs on advanced plant equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to meet production targets.
- Collaborate with suppliers to explore innovative equipment solutions.
- Maintain a safe, organized workshop and adhere to industry-leading safety protocols.
- Ensure timely completion of planned work and efficient parts management.
Criteria
- Qualified Mechanical Technician (Fitter) or Electrician.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance skills.
- Solid understanding of quality, health, and safety standards.
Reward
- Hourly rate: €23-€26 17% shift premium
- Annual earnings: €53K-€63K (including shift allowance)
- Overtime rates: 1.5x and 2x depending on hours worked
