Overview
A leading manufacturing site in Lough Egish is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their engineering team. This is a key role focused on the upkeep, repair, and optimisation of plant and facility systems in a high-volume, GMP-regulated environment.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll play a vital role in maintaining critical utilities and infrastructure while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site. 40 hours per week working on a 3-Shift Rotation (Days / Evenings / Nights)
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair a wide range of facility and plant equipment
- Manage and execute the preventative maintenance programme (CMMS)
- Work on systems including boilers, HVAC, compressed air, chilled water, and water treatment
- Maintain equipment such as AHUs, chillers, compressors, CIP and pumping systems
- Liaise with and coordinate external contractors and service providers
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and site efficiency projects
- Assist in developing and maintaining technical documentation in line with ISO standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in collaboration with Quality and Engineering teams
Criteria
- Recognised electrical qualification with time served in manufacturing
- Experience in a high-volume or GMP-regulated environment
- Strong knowledge of facility systems (HVAC, boilers, compressed air, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Previous exposure to cleanroom environments is advantageous
- Experience with CMMS systems and structured maintenance processes
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
- Comfortable working across a rotating 3-shift pattern
