Pre‑Construction Manager - Major Engineering Contractor (Dublin 22)

A leading international engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Pre‑Construction Manager to join its growing team. This organisation delivers complex, high‑value projects across Europe and is recognised for its technical capability, collaborative culture and strong pipeline of work.

This role sits within the pre‑construction function and is responsible for coordinating all activities from initial enquiry through to contract award. You will work closely with estimating, design, planning, operations and commercial teams to ensure bids are accurate, competitive and aligned with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full pre‑construction and tendering process from initial enquiry to final submission.

• Coordinate internal stakeholders across design, planning, operations and commercial functions.

• Develop and review methodologies, logistics strategies and technical documentation.

• Identify project risks and opportunities throughout the bid lifecycle.

• Liaise with clients, consultants and supply chain partners during tender phases.

• Support cost planning, value engineering and procurement strategies.

• Ensure all bid documents meet client requirements and internal quality standards.

• Prepare and deliver bid presentations and manage post‑tender clarifications.

• Oversee the transition from pre‑construction to project delivery teams.

• Gather feedback from clients and supply chain partners to drive continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

• 10 years' experience in pre‑construction, project management, commercial or related roles.

• Strong background in large‑scale construction projects; experience in mission‑critical, industria or advanced manufacturing environments is an advantage.

• Proven track record managing tender processes and coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams.

• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of construction methodologies.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
