Overview

We are currently recruiting a Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a well-established food manufacturing operation in County Waterford. This is a hands-on role supporting a busy production environment, offering strong earnings once fully transitioned to a 3-shift pattern.

The role will initially operate on a day or 2-shift basis, moving to full 3-shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on production and packaging equipment
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
• Provide technical support to production during shift operations
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Liaise with contractors and ensure all work is carried out safely
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across the site

Criteria

• Ideally you will be a qualified / time-served Maintenance Technician (Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled)
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (food or FMCG an advantage)
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
• Ability to work independently on shift
• Flexible and professional approach to shift work

Reward

• Base Salary: €65,000
• Shift Premium: 25%
• Total Earnings on 3-Shift: €81,250
• Monday-Friday shift pattern
• Overtime may be required on a rota basis; weekend overtime is under review with the intention to minimise weekend working
