Your new company:

Your new company is a mid-sized fabrication company who do second-hand steel for some of Ireland's biggest civil engineering contractors. They have seen growth across all sectors in the past year and want motivated Steel detailers with either Soldiworks or Tekla experience to join their growing team.

Your new role:

Your new role will primarily be focused on

• Design Interpretation: Review architectural, structural drawings, and specifications to understand project details.

• Model Creation: Develop detailed 2D/3D models of steel components (beams, columns, stairways) using specialized software

• Drawing Production: Generate comprehensive shop drawings (for fabrication) and erection drawings (for site assembly) with dimensions, connection details, and material info.

• Material Takeoffs: Calculate precise quantities and types of steel needed.

• Coordination: Liaise with engineers, architects, project managers, and fabricators to resolve conflicts, address design changes, and ensure compliance.

• Clash Detection

Your qualifications:

You will ideally have either a degree in BIM / Civil or Structural Engineering or similar, or expreeince in the Irish market of CAD / Tekla / Solidworks, or Revit working with steel.
