Overview

Our client is seeking an Accounts Assistant / Accounts Payable Administrator to join their finance team in a newly created role. This position would suit someone who is immediately available and looking for an opportunity with long-term potential. Due to the location and occasional travel requirements, a full driving licence and access to a car is essential.

Duties

• Process and code supplier invoices accurately.
• Match invoices to relevant jobs and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ledgers.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding invoice queries.
• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Ensure invoices are processed within agreed deadlines.
• Support the finance team with general administrative duties.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounts payable, accounts assistant or similar finance role.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience using Excel and Microsoft Office.
• ERP/SAP experience would be an advantage.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
