This senior management role involves leading a dynamic programme of work with a high-performing team who design and deliver Education, Support and Communication initiatives to working professionals

A minimum of 5 years' managerial experience in the field of professional development, education/support, mental health and/or professional wellbeing is required.

The successful candidate will support the effective and timely implementation of key projects and participate fully in team planning and event coordination.

Responsibilities

The Psychological Services Senior Manager will work closely with a dynamic team, as well as with the Directors to:

Assist in the ongoing implementation of the Psychological Services' and organisational strategy.

  • Manage a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Oversee the timely delivery and ongoing development of a range of profession-facing services/projects.
  • Manage department operational budget.
  • Produce high quality reports and communication materials.
  • Research, assess and develop new ways of meeting the evolving psychological needs a range of career professionals.
  • Develop and coordinate impactful engagements events - onsite, online, and at regional locations.
  • Attend onsite and assist in the coordination/delivery of programmes and engagement events to include: an annual wellness festival, reflective practice groups, the professional course for trainees, CPD events for professionals (e.g. webinar Series, trauma informed working).
  • Overseeing the management of an onsite clinical service for trainees and liaison with an externally operated clinical service for experienced professionals...

Skills

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills:

  • Hold a relevant third level qualification and/or significant senior work experience in a relevant area, such as: professional services, leadership and change development, professional wellbeing.
  • Experience of managing dynamic teams, projects and budgets.
  • Experience of partnering with professional services workplaces is a distinct advantage
  • A creative, innovative and proactive approach to working within a dynamic team
  • Willingness to develop new skills, knowledge and capacities as the department evolves and its priorities shift.
  • Strong communication and organisational ability with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Empathetic and professional approach to leadership in mental health and wellbeing.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and in the wider community to work towards common goals.
  • Knowledge and nuanced understanding of appropriate responses to prevailing sectoral issues (including vicarious trauma, secondary traumatic stress, burnout) is desirable.
  • Experience in developing/overseeing implementation of a communication strategy is desirable.
  • Familiarity with AI/Project management tools is desirable.
