Overview

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Operative to join a busy food production environment based in West Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career within maintenance, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced setting.

This role will support the smooth running of production by assisting with basic maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of equipment and facilities. You'll work alongside an experienced team, learning on the job and contributing to daily operations.

The position operates on a Monday to Saturday rota (5/6 days), with occasional Saturday work planned in advance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and basic repairs across production equipment and site facilities
• Support reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime
• Carry out simple mechanical tasks and general upkeep duties
• Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment is operating efficiently
• Follow all health & safety and hygiene standards within a food production environment
• Maintain basic records of maintenance work carried out

Criteria

• Some previous experience in a maintenance, engineering, or hands-on role (even at a basic level)
• Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Practical, reliable, and hands-on approach to work
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attitude towards safety and quality standards
• Flexibility to work a 5/6 day rota including pre-planned Saturdays
