Maintenance Technician - Bakery, Dublin
Overview
A leading bakery production facility is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support its fast‑paced and quality‑driven operation. Working across modern, high‑output production lines, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining equipment reliability and supporting smooth daily operations. This position operates on a 2-shift rotation, days and morning shift.
Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance across bakery machinery and facility systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and control-related issues.
- Maintain and support equipment such as mixers, conveyors, ovens, motors, and packaging systems.
- Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement projects.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and uphold all safety procedures.
- Support coordination of daily maintenance tasks and guide junior technicians or contractors where required.
- Work closely with Production and Quality teams to ensure consistent output and product quality.
- Identify opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
Criteria
- 3 years' experience in maintenance within food production, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills; PLC experience a distinct advantage.
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members preferred.
- Welding or fabrication ability is an advantage.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, safety focus, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to support weekend or extended hours as required.
