Overview
An established manufacturing company in North Dublin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their 6‑person engineering team. This role carries a mechanical bias (approx. 70%) and would suit a qualified Fitter/Turner, Electrician, or someone with an equivalent technical trade.
You'll support fast‑moving production operations, carrying out preventative maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and assisting with new machinery installations. No two days are the same, so adaptability and a proactive mindset are essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
- Support daily production with quick and effective troubleshooting.
- Assist with plant upgrades, new equipment installations, and project work.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement long‑term fixes.
- Work collaboratively as part of a 6‑person maintenance team.
- Adjust to changing production needs and priorities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and uphold safety standards.
- Participate in overtime as required.
Criteria
- Qualified Fitter/Turner, Electrician, or equivalent recognised technical trade.
- Strong mechanical skills (role is 70% mechanical)
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Ability to problem‑solve and work well under pressure.
- Flexible approach to workload and shifting priorities.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Reward
- Hourly rate: €31 - €33 per hour (depending on experience)
- Day shift: Mon-Thurs 08:30-17:00, Fri 08:30-16:00
- 21 days annual leave
