Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician to join a small, high-performing maintenance team within a cutting-edge pharmaceutical environment. This role is based in South Dublin, supporting state-of-the-art R&D and GMP facility.

You'll play a key role in keeping critical equipment, utilities, and infrastructure running smoothly. The position offers flexibility with working hours (core hours 9am-4pm), excellent benefits, and strong long-term development prospects. This employer is moving quickly, with the aim of having someone start in January 2026.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance across a range of specialised lab, facility, and utility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues (approx. 70% mechanical, 30% electrical).
• Manage and coordinate external vendors and contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient work.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records within the CMMS, supporting audits and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, safety standards, and reliability-focused maintenance practices.

Criteria

• Trade-qualified in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Experience in a maintenance role within GMP, pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or a similarly regulated environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability with additional electrical competence.
• Comfortable working autonomously within a small team structure.
• Experience with CMMS systems and understanding of GMP standards is advantageous.
