We are working with a leading food manufacturing group to recruit for a Maintenance Manager to oversee engineering and maintenance operations across multiple production sites in Cavan and Fermanagh. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving maintenance excellence, improving site reliability, and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.
Duties
- Lead and develop multi‑site maintenance teams, ensuring high performance and strong engagement.
- Oversee all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and ensure scheduling is effective, compliant, and aligned to production demands.
- Manage reactive maintenance, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
- Coordinate and manage relationships with external contractors and suppliers.
- Lead and support capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, including planning, budgeting, installation, and commissioning.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and site performance.
- Ensure all maintenance activity complies with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Use data and reporting tools to track KPIs, maintenance performance, and budget adherence.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to deliver engineering solutions that support business objectives.
Criteria
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, or Senior Maintenance Lead within manufacturing, ideally FMCG or food.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance within a high‑volume production environment.
- Track record of implementing and managing PPM systems and driving continuous improvement.
- Experience managing CapEx projects from planning through to commissioning.
- Strong people management skills with experience leading multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and planning abilities.
- Ability to work across multiple sites and manage priorities effectively.
- Relevant engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical, or similar).
