Overview
We are seeking an experienced Night Shift Production Manager to oversee operations during night shifts. This role is critical in ensuring health & safety, product quality, efficiency, and adherence to good manufacturing practices. You will lead a dedicated team, maintain high standards, and drive continuous improvement across production processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily production processes to meet efficiency and quality targets.
- Ensure all products are prepared according to specifications and meet quality requirements.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and minimize waste.
- Liaise with departments such as Quality and Purchasing to achieve service level targets.
- Control ingredient and packaging flow, ensuring yield and waste targets are met.
- Provide regular production reports to senior management.
- Report maintenance or structural issues promptly.
- Monitor and train new and existing staff on night shift.
- Support operatives to prevent bottlenecks in operations.
- Ensure correct ingredient rotation and compliance with batch coding and supplier details.
- Verify Veg Washroom operations and maintain accurate records.
- Uphold hygiene standards and operate cleaning SOPs on the production floor.
Criteria
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles.
- Knowledge of food production processes and ability to meet product specifications.
- Demonstrated dexterity and speed of work.
- Excellent punctuality and reliability.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing or food production environment is highly desirable.
