Project Architect

Permanent
Dublin City Centre, Dublin
€60000 - €70000 per annum

The Company

Our client is one of Ireland's most established architecture and interior design practices, with studios in Dublin and Cork and a combined team of over 250 people. The practice has built its reputation over several decades on a portfolio spanning landmark commercial headquarters, education, healthcare, hospitality, residential and large-scale mixed-use masterplanning; including some of Dublin's most recognisable city centre and docklands developments.
We are retained to appoint a Project Architect into one of the practice's core studio teams, working directly under a main board Director with over 25 years' experience delivering complex, high-value projects. The team's recent and current workload includes corporate office headquarters and fit-out schemes, third-level academic buildings, large residential-led developments, hospitality and heritage-integration projects, and city centre mixed-use masterplans; several of which have been recognised at national design and construction awards.

The Role
As Project Architect, you will take day-to-day design and delivery responsibility for projects through the full RIAI stages, acting as the key point of contact for clients, consultants and contractors while working closely with the Director leading the team.
* Lead the design development and technical delivery of projects from concept through to construction and handover
* Produce and coordinate detailed drawings, specifications and technical information using Revit within a BIM/ISO 19650 workflow
* Manage planning applications and liaise with planning authorities, statutory bodies and conservation officers where relevant
* Administer building contracts, chair design team and site meetings, and manage project programmes and budgets
* Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams, ensuring compliance with the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations / Building Safety Act and all relevant statutory requirements
* Act as a mentor to Part I and Part II Architectural Assistants within the team
* Support business development through client relationship management and, where relevant, contribution to design competitions and bids

About You
* Degree-qualified Architect, registered (or eligible for registration) with the RIAI, ARB or equivalent body
* Circa 5 years' post-qualification experience within a professional architectural practice
* Strong track record across one or more of: commercial/workplace, education, residential, hospitality or mixed-use projects
* Proven ability to run projects independently through planning, technical design and construction stages
* Confident using Revit in a collaborative BIM environment; working knowledge of ISO 19650 an advantage
* Sound understanding of Irish building regulations, BCAR and current planning processes
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to represent the practice directly to clients

What's on Offer
* A senior, visible role within a well-resourced studio team, working directly alongside main board leadership
* A pipeline of substantial, high-quality projects rather than incremental or piecemeal work
* Competitive salary, benefits package and structured CPD/professional development support
* Hybrid working arrangements
* A genuine long-term career path within a practice of scale, with clear routes toward Associate and Director-level progression
