Quantity Surveyor - Data Centre Projects

Dublin | Permanent | €35,000 - €50,000 per annum, DOE

Our client is a leading turnkey delivery partner for large-scale data centre construction across Europe, providing full-service solutions from design and construction through to commissioning. Headquartered in Dublin, the firm has built a reputation as one of the most trusted names in its sector and is currently delivering major projects across multiple European markets.

The commercial team is now seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a major data centre project in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career QS to build their commercial and project management skills within a large-scale, fast-paced construction environment, working alongside an experienced team.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyors on-site, you will support the wider commercial team in managing costs, subcontractor packages, valuations and variations throughout the project lifecycle - gaining hands-on exposure to commercial management on a large-scale, technically complex build.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyors and commercial team with the management of subcontract packages
  • Assisting with the preparation of tender documentation, work packages, budgets and procurement activities
  • Assisting with the analysis and review of subcontractor tender returns
  • Supporting the preparation and administration of subcontractor documentation
  • Assisting with monthly valuations, payments and cost reporting
  • Supporting the preparation and assessment of variations, claims and other commercial matters
  • Monitoring project costs and maintaining accurate commercial records
  • Assisting with the preparation of cost/value and cash flow reports
  • Supporting subcontractor final accounts and commercial close-out
  • Liaising with subcontractors, clients, designers and internal project teams as required

What you will Bring

  • Experience: 1-2 years' relevant experience in Quantity Surveying or a construction environment.
  • Qualification: a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
  • Technical skills: good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with CostX, Buildsoft or similar software is advantageous but not essential.
  • Approach: strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail and organisation.
  • Bonus: prior exposure to data centre or main contractor environments is an advantage, though not essential.

What's on Offer

  • A salary of €35,000 - €50,000, dependent on experience, reflecting the current Dublin market rate for early-career Quantity Surveyors
  • The opportunity to work on a major, large-scale data centre project with an industry-leading delivery partner
  • Hands-on exposure to the full commercial lifecycle, from tender through to final account
  • A collaborative, supportive team environment with genuine scope for career development
  • The stability of an established business with a multi-decade track record and an expanding pipeline of projects across Europe
