We are currently representing a well established and design driven Dublin based architectural practice with over 30 years of experience shaping high quality environments across hospitality, residential, workplace, commercial, and mixed use sectors. The studio is recognised for its collaborative culture, sustainability focused design ethos, and ability to deliver contextually rich and technically robust architecture throughout Ireland.

With an extensive portfolio of built and in progress projects ranging from large scale hospitality and leisure developments to complex residential and mixed use schemes this practice continues to expand its technical delivery team. Their project catalogue includes numerous completed Irish developments across Dublin, Monkstown, and wider regions.

Our client now seeks a Senior Architectural Technologist with deep technical expertise, strong construction stage experience, and an excellent understanding of Irish Building Regulations and regulatory standards.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of architectural projects across all technical stages, from detailed design through tender, compliance, and on site coordination. The studio operates across architecture, interiors, design certification, assigned certifier responsibilities, and accessibility compliance offering exposure to a broad range of technical and regulatory frameworks within Irish construction

You will work across diverse sectors including:

This role is suited to a highly technical, detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment.

The Responsibility

• Lead the preparation of detailed design packages, technical drawings, and construction documentation
• Ensure all project outputs meet relevant Irish Building Regulations, BC(A)R requirements, and associated regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with design team members, contractors, engineers, certifiers, and client representatives.
• Undertake site inspections, review contractor design information, and contribute to project delivery quality.
• Support risk assessments, compliance documentation, and technical reporting.
• Oversee junior technologists and graduates, providing mentorship and technical guidance.

Requirements

• Architectural Technology qualification (Level 7/8 or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years post graduate experience, with demonstrable work on Irish building projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, BC(A)R, DAC compliance, and construction methodologies.
• Proven experience producing tender packages, construction detailing, and coordination drawings.
• Proficiency with relevant design software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM workflows, Adobe Suite).
• Excellent communication, organisation, and site coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to multidisciplinary design teams.
