About the Company:
Our client is a leading global medical device company developing a next-generation medical device that will transform patient outcomes. With innovation at the heart of their mission, they are expanding their R&D team and seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer with strong LabVIEW expertise.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and validating software solutions to support the development and testing of complex medical device systems. Working in a collaborative environment, you will help ensure that all software complies with medical device standards and quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom applications and automated test systems using LabVIEW
- Support software development activities across the product lifecycle, from concept to release
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs
- Ensure software solutions are compliant with relevant medical device standards (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485)
- Contribute to verification & validation testing, documentation, and risk analysis
- Participate in code reviews, technical design reviews, and software process improvements
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- Strong LabVIEW programming experience (Certified LabVIEW Developer/Architect is a plus)
- Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Proven ability to work in regulated environments (e.g., medical devices, pharma, aerospace)
- Familiarity with medical device software development standards (e.g., IEC 62304) is highly desirable
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
Desirable Experience:
- Experience working on Class II or III medical devices
- Knowledge of additional languages/tools (e.g., C/C , Python, TestStand)
- Familiarity with hardware integration and embedded systems
