Overview
A leading FMCG manufacturer in North West Dublin is seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Technician to join their expanding engineering team. Working Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm, you'll support a busy automated production environment, carrying out both mechanical and electrical maintenance to keep high‑speed equipment running to optimum performance.
Responsibilities
- Execute planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site utilities.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues.
- Support production teams to minimise downtime and maximise output.
- Carry out electro‑mechanical repairs on PLC‑controlled systems.
- Record maintenance activities, update equipment records and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to resolve technical problems.
- Contribute to cost‑reduction and energy‑saving projects.
Criteria
- Senior Trade Qualification or relevant engineering diploma.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally within food or high‑volume manufacturing.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skillset, including PLC fault finding.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and work effectively on own initiative.
- Experience with maintenance systems/software is an advantage.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills.
Reward
- Salary €48,000 - €55,000 (DOE).
