Overview
An established FMCG business is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical experience to support the reliability and performance of its processing plant.
This is a long‑term opportunity for an engineer who values stability, structured maintenance, and working within a professional engineering function.
The role operates on a Monday-Friday shift pattern with additional earning potential through shift premium and overtime opportunities
Responsibilities
- Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and mechanical issues across production and process equipment
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with site schedules
- Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
- Accurately recording maintenance work for compliance and audit purposes
- Maintaining engineering stores, spares, and tools in an organised and safe manner
- Contributing to continuous improvement, plant efficiency, and site safety initiatives
- Supporting general site and building maintenance as required
- Upholding high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and environmental compliance
Criteria
- Recognised electrical qualification / completed apprenticeship - essential
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong electrical fault‑finding capability (controls, motors, sensors, etc.)
- Good job stability and longevity in previous roles highly preferred
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to an engineering team
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
