Overview

An established FMCG business is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical experience to support the reliability and performance of its processing plant.

This is a long‑term opportunity for an engineer who values stability, structured maintenance, and working within a professional engineering function.

The role operates on a Monday-Friday shift pattern with additional earning potential through shift premium and overtime opportunities

Responsibilities

• Fault finding, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and mechanical issues across production and process equipment
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with site schedules
• Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Accurately recording maintenance work for compliance and audit purposes
• Maintaining engineering stores, spares, and tools in an organised and safe manner
• Contributing to continuous improvement, plant efficiency, and site safety initiatives
• Supporting general site and building maintenance as required
• Upholding high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and environmental compliance

Criteria

• Recognised electrical qualification / completed apprenticeship - essential
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong electrical fault‑finding capability (controls, motors, sensors, etc.)
• Good job stability and longevity in previous roles highly preferred
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to an engineering team
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance

• Shift premium evening shifts
