Our client, a long‑established manufacturing company, is seeking a commercially minded accountant to provide analysis and insight to management across the business. This role offers broad exposure across manufacturing, operations, and sales, making it an excellent opportunity to build experience within an FMCG/manufacturing environment.

This is a part‑time, permanent, onsite role (25-30 hours per week) within a supportive accounting team of 7.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of monthly management accounts (full P&L and Balance Sheet)

• Perform monthly variance analysis, investigating key movements and anomalies

• Support financial forecasting

• Prepare and review weekly KPI reports, including:

  • Manufacturing yields and performance
  • Labour cost calculations
  • Sales value reporting
  • Estimated weekly profitability

• Contribute to the annual budgeting process in collaboration with other departments

• Maintain product costing and customer profitability analysis

• Analyse and report on key cost centres

• Support the maintenance of strong financial controls

• Liaise with external auditors for the annual audit

• Produce ad hoc financial and operational reports as required

Skills, Experience & Competencies

• Qualified Accountant or QBE
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate clear, practical insights
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Advanced Excel skills and solid MS Office knowledge
• Strong technical accounting capability
• Clear communication skills
• Mainline ERP experience
