Maintenance Electrician - Evening Shift (Mon-Fri)

Overview

A leading FMCG manufacturer in Co. Meath is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Electrician to join their maintenance team. This is a hands-on role on the evening shift (Monday to Friday), supporting the smooth operation of high-speed production lines in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives - all while upholding the highest standards of safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across production equipment, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and carry out root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
• Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks in line with schedules
• Accurately log work using the site's maintenance software system
• Support upgrades, repairs, and continuous improvement projects
• Maintain GMP and Health & Safety standards at all times
• Collaborate effectively with the wider maintenance and production teams

Criteria

• Fully qualified electrician with strong mechanical aptitude
• 3 years' experience in a similar FMCG or manufacturing environment
• Proven electrical fault-finding skills
• Experience with high-speed packaging equipment and pumping systems
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Computer literate with experience using maintenance reporting systems
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, safety-first mindset
