Manufacturing Engineer- Medical Device start-up

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be a key contributor within a multidisciplinary engineering team. The role involves supporting technology advancement initiatives, including developing new manufacturing processes, advancing device concepts, and validating novel technologies and methods. You will work closely on the development and manufacture of medical technologies, contributing to both manufacturing operations and product design and development activities.



How You'll Contribute

  • Lead the development of new device manufacturing methods
  • Rapidly prototype product and fixture concepts using standard catheter?building equipment and techniques, including 3D printing
  • Perform modelling and mechanical analysis using SolidWorks or similar tools
  • Work with medical?grade polymers, ideally in a medical device manufacturing environment
  • Conceive, develop, and optimise manufacturing processes
  • Design fixtures, models, and tools for proof?of?concept, verification, and validation testing
  • Support, document, and contribute to the development of novel medical technology
  • Participate in verification and validation of new product designs
  • Prepare development project plans, specifications, and schedules
  • Collaborate with external vendors to source engineering materials, processes, and equipment
  • Contribute to intellectual property development through innovation and technical problem?solving


Must Have

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the medical device industry
  • A hands?on mindset with strong practical problem?solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly prototype fixture and product concepts using manufacturing equipment and 3D printing
  • Strong proficiency in mechanical modelling and analysis (SolidWorks or similar)
  • Experience working with medical device polymers
  • Strong aptitude for process verification, validation, and process development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute positively within dynamic team environments
  • Commitment to ongoing personal development and continuous improvement
  • Desire to stay up to date with engineering knowledge related to product design, manufacturing, and prototyping techniques
