Overview

We're looking for a Hygiene Manager to join a leading food manufacturing company in County Down. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's passionate about maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and compliance in a fast-paced production environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring the site is always audit-ready and that all hygiene processes meet regulatory and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all hygiene and cleaning activities across the site.
• Ensure machinery, equipment, and facilities are maintained in safe, hazard-free condition.
• Supervise and train the hygiene team to achieve top standards of visual and microbiological hygiene.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all cleaning activities.
• Monitor hygiene KPIs and report findings to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, and quality procedures.
• Manage chemical stock levels and staffing requirements for hygiene operations.
• Liaise with internal departments to meet operational needs and resolve issues promptly.
• Keep the site audit-ready at all times.

Criteria

• Strong understanding of HACCP principles.
• Previous experience in hygiene management within a food manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work to strict standards and deadlines.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality systems.
