Specialising in the design, sale, installation, and servicing of equipment such as graders, conveyors, pack houses, and packaging systems, they are known for their technical expertise and customer-first approach.

The Role:

This is a multi-dimensional position that blends technical, operational, and commercial responsibilities. You will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business, while also contributing to its long-term strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage workshop operations, ensuring efficiency and quality control
• Carry out hands-on maintenance, servicing, and repair of food production equipment-both in-house and on customer sites
• Lead installation projects and provide technical support to clients
• Manage service contracts and ensure timely delivery of after-sales support
• Support and drive sales activities, including customer visits, quoting, and negotiation
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers
• Contribute to operational planning, resource management, and process improvement
• Work closely with the business owner to understand all aspects of the company, with a view to future leadership

About You:

We're looking for someone who is technically skilled, commercially aware, and operationally strong-a true all-rounder with a passion for the agri-food equipment sector.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience working with fresh food produce equipment (e.g. graders, conveyors, pack houses, packaging machinery)
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical engineering background
• Hands-on experience in maintenance, repair, and installation
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage operations and lead a small team
• Commercial acumen with experience in sales or client-facing roles
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites

Desirable:

• Experience in workshop or service management
• Knowledge of the agri-food industry and its operational challenges
• Leadership potential and ambition to take on a senior role
