Maintenance Electrician - Night Shift

Overview

We are working with a leading industrial food manufacturer in Co. Galway to recruit a Night Shift Maintenance Electrician. This is a key hire within a high-performing engineering team, supporting a fast-paced production environment with a strong focus on reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across plant equipment
  • Support delivery of site KPIs relating to equipment uptime and efficiency
  • Diagnose faults, carry out root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed in line with health & safety and compliance standards
  • Provide support to production including line cover when required
  • Participate in engineering projects and equipment modifications
  • Assist in training and mentoring team members as needed

Criteria

  • Relevant Electrical Trade Qualification and/or Engineering Degree
  • Minimum 2 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and maintenance systems
  • Proven hands-on troubleshooting and fault-finding experience
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on night shift
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Good IT/PC literacy
