Senior Maintenance Technician

Overview

This is a standout opportunity for an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to join a modern, well-invested food production company with strong engineering standards, excellent earning potential, and a genuinely attractive shift rotation.

The role offers a rare combination of top-end hourly pay, paid overtime, shift premium, and an on-call bonus, all within a stable, long-term setting. You'll operate at senior, hands-on level while influencing reliability, mentoring others, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level breakdown and technical support across production assets
• Act as a technical lead on shift, supporting and mentoring technicians
• Drive improvements in machine reliability, uptime, and performance
• Support PM optimisation, shutdown planning, and equipment upgrades
• Assist with commissioning of new machinery and line improvements
• Work closely with production to minimise downtime
• Ensure all work meets high standards of safety, food safety, and compliance
• Accurately record maintenance activity through CMMS

Criteria

• Qualified Maintenance Technician with solid industrial experience. (Ideally Electrical)
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
• Proven experience supporting or leading other technicians
• Comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment
• Proactive, dependable, and improvement-focused approach

Reward

• €31.34 per hour base rate, shift allowance, on call bonus (Circa €72,000 per annum all-in)
• Overtime paid at time and a half after 39 hours
• Sunday & Bank Holiday overtime at premium rate
• 22 days annual leave
• Health insurance contributions
• Pension: 6%
• Structured rotating shift pattern, no nights, only 1 Saturday morning every 4 week (remainder is M-F)
