My client, a successful Product Distribution Company is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to deputise for the EMEA Managing Director in running the commercial activities of the company. The core objective of this role is to ensure that the infrastructure is in place to enable the company to achieve its ambitious growth plans.
As you'll be working in a small rapidly growing SME your role will be incredibly broad with a wide range of responsibilities including leading all pre-sales back-office activities, new business development and assisting with client pitches, managing all international suppliers, and co-ordinating stock, logistics, and fulfillment issues to a arrange of clients.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end service experience for the company's clients in EMEA, partnering closely with the Managing Director, understanding the intended business strategy for developing relationships with each client.
The position is heavily operational/detail-focused and requires the candidate to deliver high-impact supporting documentation and background information for pitches with large multinational retail companies.
International supplier management is key for this role, to include multiple licensed brands, as is identifying new multinational suppliers and providing full operational support for complex commercial deals alongside the Managing Director.
The position operates independently and partners with a small internal team as well as external outsourcers, vendors, and administrative service providers. Your role will include managing these 3rd parties and driving issue resolution and escalate any operational/administrative concerns.
In addition, my client recognises the need to continually evolve their business capabilities with a strong emphasis on eCommerce and to set up and manage marketplace activity in the UK with a focus on Amazon & eBay and develop, design, and build a robust eCommerce site.
To that extent, the role will require the individual to identify process improvements and lead projects and initiatives to further innovate and enhance my clients' capabilities to deliver improved client outcomes and facilitate the success of the EMEA Distribution Strategy.
