Overview
A leading, multi-site food production organisation is seeking to appoint a Maintenance Improvement Lead for one of its key processing facilities Kilkenny. This is a high-impact role focused on driving reliability, continuous improvement, and maintenance excellence across a complex manufacturing environment.
Working closely with engineering, production, quality, and H&S teams, you will play a central role in enhancing plant performance, reducing downtime, and supporting long-term operational strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the resolution of plant, process, and reliability issues with a continuous improvement mindset
- Drive maintenance best practice across safety, compliance, and risk mitigation
- Identify and deliver improvement to optimise performance and reduce cost/downtime
- Support and enhance preventative maintenance systems, including condition-based monitoring
- Contribute to root cause analysis, incident investigations, and action tracking
- Work cross-functionally to improve maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution
- Manage contractors and ensure work is carried out to required standards
- Support SAP and maintenance system improvements, including PM optimisation and data accuracy
- Play a key role in developing technician capability, training plans, and maintenance standards
- You will work on a 3 on - 3 off rota, 12 hour day shifts.
Criteria
- Trade qualified (Mechanical/Electrical) or degree-qualified in Engineering
- Proven experience within a maintenance or reliability-focused role in manufacturing
- Strong understanding of continuous improvement and maintenance best practice
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capability
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence across teams
- Experience with CMMS/SAP systems advantageous
