Group Financial Controller

My client are hiring a Group Financial Controller to lead financial reporting and month-end close across our Irish and UK entities, and oversee accounting for Spanish and German cost centres. This is a key leadership role ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and performance across multiple regions.

Duties:

• Lead monthly close for Ireland and UK, including journals, reconciliations, and group consolidation.
• Prepare and review consolidated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Manage Spanish and German cost centre accounting with local providers.
• Oversee working capital, cash flow forecasting, and FX exposure across regions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls; lead audits and statutory filings.
• Handle indirect tax (VAT/GST) across jurisdictions.
• Lead and develop a team of 5 finance professionals.
• Drive process automation and financial reporting improvements.

Skills:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), 5-7 years' PQE.
• Experience with UK/Irish accounting and international operations.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Skilled in ERP systems (Xero, AIQ, NetSuite, SAP).
• Indirect tax experience highly desirable.
