Overview

A long‑established agri‑industrial business is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician / Fitter to join their maintenance team. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safe operation of equipment across multiple sites. Ideal for someone who enjoys varied mechanical work, proactive maintenance, and being part of a close-knit operational team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on milling and processing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical components including augers, motors, belts, conveyors, and related systems.
• Perform fault-finding and repairs on pneumatic systems.
• Apply strong problem‑solving skills to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Complete welding and fabrication tasks to support equipment repair and replacement.
• Develop and maintain maintenance schedules, logs, and documentation.
• Collaborate with plant operators and the wider maintenance team to ensure efficient daily operations.

Criteria

• Proven experience in a mechanical, fitter, or maintenance role within an industrial, milling, or agricultural environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with solid hands-on repair skills.
• Welding experience is essential.
• Basic electrical knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
• Team‑focused approach with the ability to work collaboratively.

Reward

• Salary DOE - €45,000 - €55,000
• Time-and-a-half overtime rate (approved & consistent)
• Negotiable call-out structure depending on location
• Monday-Friday hours: 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm
