Manufacturing Accountant

My client a manufacturing company in the midlands are looking to hire a qualified accountant to join their team. This is a newly created role within an established team reporting to the head of finance would suit a commercially minded accountant with who enjoys data manipulation and working in a fast paced environment.

Duties

• Prepare weekly management reports, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labour, and overheads
• Analyse cost and usage variances; review product costings and BOMs
• Produce margin analysis by customer and product
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Handle ad hoc financial analysis and projects
• Assist with building & enhancing reporting tools

Skills:

• Qualified Accountant or QBE
• Strong ERP experience e.g. Oracle, SAP etc.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, variance analysis, and KPIs
• Skilled in data tools (Power Query, Power BI preferred)
• Ability to present clear, concise reports
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
• Excellent IT and analytical skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable explaining financial concepts to non-financial teams
• Proactive in suggesting improvements
