Group Accountant

My client are looking for a Group Accountant to support the Group Financial Director and finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting and insightful management information to drive strategic decision-making.

Duties:

• Consolidate group accounts across Ireland and the US, ensuring accurate intercompany eliminations.
• Oversee monthly reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflows).
• Prepare statutory and regulatory reports; manage annual report process.
• Analyse financial data to assess group performance.
• Develop and enforce financial policies and internal controls.
• Manage intercompany loans, interest calculations, and group-level accounting (e.g. investments, FX, provisions).
• Coordinate reporting deadlines and equity/funding reconciliations.
• Support ESG reporting and AIQ platform enhancements.
• Liaise with auditors and senior stakeholders.
• Assist with finance transformation projects and ad-hoc initiatives.

Skills:

• 3-5 years' experience in financial accounting and analysis.
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Strong technical accounting and consolidation skills.
• Leadership and report writing capabilities.
• Experience in energy, renewables, or construction is a plus.
• Strong and advanced Excel skills
