Sales Representative (Foodservice)

The Client

Our client is a highly successful Irish Business with a 100-year history of food production, manufacturing and building strong communities. They are servicing over 80 countries around the world and are expanding quickly. They are seeking an experienced Sales Representative who has direct experience in Foodservice to join their team in Ireland. The main purpose of this role is to grow and maintain a territory. Ideally this would suit an experienced Foodservice / Retail Sales professional with industry knowhow and connections. If you are passionate about the Food industry, have a reputation as a reliable Sales Professional, then this is the prefect position for you.


  • Plan, implement and achieve the agreed sales targets and profit budgets.
  • Managing our existing channel customers and build strong strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure that all strategies and tactics agreed within the Irish foodservice team are implemented within the account base.
  • Win new retail and restaurant partners to help drive growth across both sectors.
  • Management of Sales Pipeline, generation, and conversion of relevant leads.
  • Introduce NPD across retail and foodservice network, leverage strong relationships with customers to aid sales growth.
  • Work closely with retailers to maximize brand visibility and rate of sale.
  • Provide industry and product knowledge to retailers depends on their requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and manage all promotional campaigns and targets.
  • Develop and execute the branding strategies at store levels.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Continually develop their skill sets in line with the changing industry.

Skills / Capabilities

  • Proven track record in achieving Sales targets with a strong sales approach.
  • A track record of managing Foodservice accounts across Ireland.
  • Experience in Sales and Account management in the FMCG industry.
  • Strong experience across retail and exposure to foodservice.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-changing environment and a desire to do things differently
  • Prior, full P&L experience for a food and drink or FMCG brand
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.
  • Commercially strong with an ability to manage over all margin.
  • Good IT skills, with exposure using a CRM system.
  • Experience in forecasting and developing/implementing strategies.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a highly motivated team player.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
