Maintenance Fitter - County Laois

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a leading manufacturing operation in County Laois. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a progressive company offering strong rewards and career growth. The role is full-time, 39 hours per week, on day shift, with lots of overtime available at enhanced rates.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance activities to support daily production.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement corrective measures.
• Support preventative maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform routine calibration, inspection, testing, and repair of machinery.
• Collaborate with contractors and electricians on new equipment installations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with standards.
  

Criteria

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within manufacturing.
• Qualification in mechanical automation and maintenance fitting or metal fabrication desirable.
• Strong skills in electrical fault finding, welding, fabrication, and fitting techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Flexible, team-oriented, and committed to high performance.

Reward

• €25 - €28 per hour depending on experience.
• Overtime paid at x1.5 normal rate.
• Saturday work available at overtime rate or option for time off in lieu.
