Financial Accountant

My client are seeking a qualified accountant for a newly created Financial Accountant role in their Group HQ in West Dublin. This role would suit someone who is looking for a broad accounting role coming from an industry or practice background. Duties:

• Assist in the smooth running of the finance function of the Group.
• Responsible for all accounting and reporting, including quarterly management accounts, periodic budgets and forecasts for all subsidiaries, trusts etc.
• Present quarterly accounts, budgets and forecast to CEO and Head of Finance.
• Responsible for issuing sales invoices on a calendar basis and follow up on non-payments.
• Responsible for all accounting and reporting, including periodic budgets and forecasts for the overhead's ledger codes.
• Preparation and submission of VAT and Income Tax
• Preparation of consolidation accounts for audit purposes.
• Responsible for bi-monthly supplier payments, account reconciliation, analysis, and reporting.
• Participate in annual audit and ensure it is run in a smooth and efficient manner.
• Review and completion of quarterly group balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage the group Fixed Asset Register.
• Ensure all internal controls are adhered to and developed in line with group requirements.

• Ensure transfer pricing master and local files are updated and fully adhered to.
• Assist in investments day-to-day control functions and reporting.

• Providing cover for other administrative tasks.
• Maintain effective working relationship with external partners and internal colleagues.
• Ad hoc tasks required by senior management.

Qualifications Skills

• Accountancy qualification, ACCA, CPA, ACA, or CIMA.
• VAT experience in previous roles a distinct advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Deadline driven, able to respond to changing demands and can prioritise work effectively.
• Competent in reviewing and discussing key financial data with relevant stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate clearly as part of a team.
• High level of proficiency with MS Excel and financial IT systems.
• Flexible, adaptable and proactive approach.
• Team player.
