Site Engineer
A medium-sized residential developer with over 100 staff and multiple active sites across Cork is seeking a Site Engineer to join the team. You will be based on a large-scale residential development in Cork, ensuring the highest standards of engineering control, safety, and quality.
Role Overview
- Location: Cork (Site-based).
- Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time.
- Project Type: Large-scale residential (housing and apartments).
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out setting out, dimensional control, and levelling for groundworks, infrastructure, and structures.
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure works are executed in accordance with construction drawings and specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks, maintain quality records, and manage the snagging process.
- Assist the Site Manager in daily operations, scheduling, and enforcing site health and safety regulations.
- Interpret engineering drawings, identify technical discrepancies early, and resolve them with the design team.
- Maintain accurate site diaries, material records, and progress reports.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of experience working as a Site Engineer, ideally on residential or large-scale building projects.
- Strong proficiency in setting out using Total Station / GPS equipment.
- Solid understanding of Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, and Health & Safety legislation.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Full, clean Irish driving licence.
