Overview
A well‑established food manufacturing organisation in West Dublin is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to support the smooth and efficient running of a busy production facility.
You'll be involved in maintaining, repairing, and installing plant machinery and utilities, responding to breakdowns, and contributing to a proactive maintenance culture.
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment.
- Carry out routine inspections, calibrations, and planned maintenance.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
- Respond to equipment faults, alarms, and breakdowns following internal procedures.
- Diagnose and repair machinery using technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and downtime reporting.
- Support production teams with training in basic maintenance processes when required.
Criteria
- Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or similar hands‑on environment.
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to document work clearly.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of an engineering team.
- Willingness to work in a fast‑moving production environment and support on‑call rota.
- Formal trade qualifications or food‑industry experience are beneficial but not essential.
