Overview

A well‑established food manufacturing organisation in West Dublin is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Technician to support the smooth and efficient running of a busy production facility.

You'll be involved in maintaining, repairing, and installing plant machinery and utilities, responding to breakdowns, and contributing to a proactive maintenance culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment.
• Carry out routine inspections, calibrations, and planned maintenance.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks to reduce breakdowns and downtime.
• Respond to equipment faults, alarms, and breakdowns following internal procedures.
• Diagnose and repair machinery using technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and downtime reporting.
• Support production teams with training in basic maintenance processes when required.

Criteria

• Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or similar hands‑on environment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document work clearly.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of an engineering team.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑moving production environment and support on‑call rota.
• Formal trade qualifications or food‑industry experience are beneficial but not essential.
