Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Overview

A well‑established food manufacturing site in County Tyrone is expanding its engineering function and is now seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a high‑performing technical team.

This is a hands‑on, site‑based role where you'll play a key part in keeping modern production lines running efficiently, safely and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day electrical maintenance across production and site services
• Respond to equipment faults and breakdowns, minimising downtime and disruption
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on manufacturing and packaging machinery
• Assist with electrical installations, upgrades and improvement projects
• Work closely with engineering colleagues, production teams and external contractors
• Contribute to continuous improvement, efficiency and energy‑reduction initiatives
• Operate in line with health & safety, food safety and compliance standards

Criteria

• Electrical apprenticeship or relevant electrical engineering qualification
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment (food, FMCG or similar ideal)
• Comfortable fault‑finding on electrical and control systems
• A proactive, practical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Able to work well as part of a team and communicate clearly across departments
• Flexible approach to shifts and on‑site working requirements
