Evidence Based Researcher - 12-month Contract
Overview
The Researcher help develop and deliver evidence-based research outputs in fulfilment of the organisation's aims. You will assist in advancing the mission of promoting evidence-based reform. The role provides opportunities for the Researcher to deepen their expertise, lead discrete projects, and engage with a broad network of stakeholders in the subject matter and academic sectors, as well as with policy makers.
Responsibilities
The Researcher will carry out the following duties in line with strategic objectives:
* Assist the Head of Department in the implementation of the multi-annual programme of research.
* Conduct accurate, high-quality legal research and analysis, and draft evidence-based and authoritative research papers on topics within the thematic focus.
* Progress research projects, delivering high standards of research, analysis, and writing.
* Assist the Head of Department in the development of proposals for reform, underpinned by credible arguments that are reflective of the public interest.
* Support the Head of Department in the publication of a series of research papers which demonstrate a real depth of research, a deep consideration of policy issues, and make a positive contribution to policy development.
* Assist in the organisation of debates, roundtable events, panel discussions, public meetings, etc. on issues relating to the research focus.
* Assist the Head of Department in the execution of a communications plan to increase awareness of the work.
* Engage closely with colleagues in the Policy Department as well as with colleagues across all other Departments.
