We are looking for a sharp, systems-minded Accountant to be a key stakeholder in the digital transformation of our finance function.

Note: For the first few months, this role will be highly manual and hands-on as you learn our current workflows from the ground up. We need someone comfortable executing repetitive tasks today while actively assisting with the automation that will eliminate them tomorrow. As you successfully automate these processes, the role will evolve, allowing you to take on high-level Financial and Statutory Accounting responsibilities.

The Mission: You will start by mastering our manual day-to-day operations (AP, AR, and Reconciliations). Once you have a deep, "under-the-hood" understanding of these processes, you will deploy AI tools and system optimizations to transition the role into a higher-level oversight position focused on statutory excellence and financial strategy.

Phase 1: The Foundation (Months 1-6)

· Deep Dive Operations: Execute end-to-end manual AP (invoice coding/approvals) and AR (cash collection/aging management).

· Manual Excellence: Oversee daily cash application and monthly reconciliations with meticulous attention to detail.

· Process Mapping: Document every "pain point" and manual bottleneck to prepare for automation.

Phase 2: The Evolution (Months 6 )

· AI & Systems Integration: Proactively deploy AI tools to automate the manual tasks mastered in Phase 1, transitioning from "doing" to "auditing" automated workflows.

· Higher-Level Financial Accounting: Lead complex month-end close processes, management reporting, and technical accounting adjustments.

· Statutory & Compliance Leadership: Take ownership of statutory financial statements, audit management, and advanced tax compliance as the manual workload decreases.

How success will be measured:

· Operational Resilience: Maintaining 100% accuracy during the initial manual phase.

· Automation Milestones: Successful transition of key tasks from manual to automated within the first 6-9 months.

· Capacity Shift: Successfully pivoting your time from data processing to high-value statutory and financial reporting.

Key Requirements:

· Patience & Vision: Comfortable with repetitive work in the short to medium term because you are driven to automate and move toward more complex accounting challenges.

· Systems Savvy: A natural flair for systems and staying current on AI/FinTech trends.

· Qualified Professional: 3 years of experience (Practice or Industry) with an ACA/ACCA qualification.

· Statutory Expertise: A strong background in statutory accounting or auditing and want to apply those skills in a modern, tech-forward environment.

Key Requirements:

· 3 years of accounting experience in practice or industry.

· Statutory accounting or auditing experience is strongly preferred.

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

· Demonstrable experience with or exposure to modern AI, Automation, or advanced ERP systems.

· Based anywhere in Ireland but must be living in Ireland full-time
