My client, a leading manufacturer in the food production sector, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-performing environment, supporting the production of high-quality dairy products. The role operates on a continental shift pattern and offers a competitive hourly rate with excellent benefits.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and standard operating practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Accurately document maintenance activities and update technical records.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
  
  

Criteria

Essential:

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and working under pressure.
• Willingness to work at heights, in confined spaces, and on a rotating 12-hour shift pattern.

Desirable:

• Experience in the food or dairy industry.
• 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• HNC/HND in Engineering.

Reward

• Hourly Rate: £22-£24 (plus 4.2% increase pending)
• Shift Allowance: 25%
• Annual Earnings: Approx. £52,358 before overtime
• Overtime Rate: 1.5x
• Shifts: Continental pattern (2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights)
• Holidays: 33 days (or 23 shifts)
